Bookmark and share

While you surfing the internet, bookmark those informative or fun pages and share with your friends. Here is how.

1. Go to this page http://del.icio.us/
2. Register an account
3. Install browser buttons to make it easy to add/view your bookmark.
4. Tell your friends your bookmarks. This is mine.

Although you can use your own browser to do the job. This one has it's advantages:

• You can bookmark it at home and get it at office, or even while you are on holiday in China.
• If you use different browsers, you can still get your bookmark.
• It support tags, what it means: when you create a bookmark, you can provide a few keywords, later on, when you click on the keyword, it will only display related links, a lot easier than using the bookmarks (favourites in IE) in your browser.

UN SURVEY -- humour

A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was "Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure.

In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.

In India they didn't know what "honest" meant.

In Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.

In China, they didn't know what "opinion" meant.

In the Middle E ast they didn't know what "solution" meant.

In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.

And in the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

Enhance your computer security

Nowaday, there are too many viruses, malwares, spywares. So you are always in danger when you connect to the internet. But if you do some preparations, you will certainly be able to make your net surfing safer. Take the following steps to make you at ease while enjoy surfing the net:

1. You will need a firewall. If you are using Windows XP, then it's internal firewall is good enough. Otherwsie, you can find a few free firewall softwares for personal use, a very popular one is ZoneAlarm, you can download it from here
2. You will need an Anti-Virus software, if you can afford to subscribe one, that will be nice. Some of those famous ones are Norton Antivirus, McAfee. Otherwise, just get AVG Anti-virus Free Edition It's good enough.
3. You will also need something to search and distroy Spyware, Get Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4
   
4. I will highly recommend you to use latest version of Firefox (1.5.0.2) browser, it supports tabbed navigation. It has many free extentions, and it's far more secure than Internet Explorer (a new beta version Internet Explorer 7 has some improvement on that). You can download Firefox from here.
